Acceptable Use Policy
Effective September 8, 2026
Penny approves every merchant instantly and does not verify identity. That works only because the rules are stated plainly and applied without exception. This policy is part of the Terms of Service.
Who may use Penny
Any lawful business, in any country, that is permitted to sell what it sells where it sells it. Penny welcomes the industries that card processors turn away for commercial rather than legal reasons: supplements, wellness, research products sold lawfully, vape and nicotine, coaching, digital goods, creators, and international sellers.
What Penny may not be used for
- Anything illegal where you operate or where your customer is located, including controlled substances, counterfeit goods, stolen data, and weapons that are unlawful to sell.
- Cannabis and cannabis-derived products with THC. Those merchants belong on our sister service, Pay Ganja, which is built for that industry.
- Fraud, scams, phishing, pyramid or matrix schemes, or misrepresenting what a customer will receive.
- Sexual content involving minors, non-consensual content, or human trafficking of any kind.
- Sanctions evasion. Penny may not be used by, or on behalf of, any person or entity on a United States government sanctions list, or from a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction, and may not be used to pay such persons.
- Money laundering, mixing, or moving funds on behalf of third parties. Penny is a checkout for your own sales, not a way to transmit money for others.
- Unlicensed activity that requires a license: gambling, securities, lending, or money services, unless you hold the required license and tell us.
- Abuse of the service itself: automated account creation, probing, creating orders you do not intend to fulfill, or any attempt to interfere with the platform or other merchants.
What we do about violations
We may pause new checkouts or close the account. Because Penny never holds funds, no action we take can freeze, seize, or delay money; it only stops new orders from being created. Where the law requires it, we cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
